380ACP for Bullseye
I bullseye competitor has asked about the use of 380ACP - at least for shooting indoors - as a means for reducing recoil.
Browning makes a 380 with 4.25 inch barrel that some have found to shoot well enough at 25 yards (NRA something like 2.5 inches) for Marksman.
Rear sight of the Browning could be drifted and replaced with a mount for red-dot sight.
Any experiences? Thanks.

Find an old Browning model 1922 with adjustable sights. Made in the 70s. Think it was called model 71...
Wife used one indoors until I got her a 52

Not worth it. If you're looking at .380 (aka 9x17), you might as well shoot 9x19 and download it.

Both the Dardas 126gr SWC and either the Magnus or Dardas 147gr BBFP (bevel base flat point) can be downloaded to what feels like a 38spl WC round.

True.. the 380 can be loaded very low though. We ran a 105 cast bullet in ours..

Re: 380ACP for Bullseye
Thanks good people. A little powder having relatively low energy per mass and quality 9x19 115 bullet should be about the same as 380ACP. Obviously, the mass of the pistol is important too. Recoil sensitivity seems to follow on need not to have a heavy pistol. No free lunch.
Browning 10/71 with 4.44" barrel and 23 oz. could be good. Adverse to old used pistols for bullseye. Had bad experience with Kimber.
For test, 21.5 oz 3.5 inch Bersa (fixed barrel !) will be tested. Do not expect much.
Thanks again.
