Any have experience tuning Colt Ace Magazines?
I just ordered Triple K magazines which are a clone of the Colt Ace Magazine, or so I have been told.
Does anyone have any experience in tuning these magazines, I understand once they are dialed in they are exceptional.
Thanks.

If truly like a Colt yep I tune them. Won’t use anything else!

Is there anything I should look out for or do? I have this which seems to cover the bases. http://www.guntalk-online.com/images/Marvel_Functioning.pdf

Ultimately you want smooth feeding that doesn’t deform nose of bullet. The great thing about Colt style mags is they can control nose of bullet being fed unlike the other mags out there. Follow those directions and use some common sense and you’ll be fine.

Metalform made some Colt clones that Marvel provided a while back. Some were in great need of front lip work that would challenge Boyd Coddington. They worked fine after major body and fender work.
Are these still available?

Re: Any have experience tuning Colt Ace Magazines?
I just got them, Triple K quality is a little sub par nothing serious.
I had to buff the follower as there was many burrs.
I had burrs on the feed lips too.
I cut one link off the spring for now maybe I will cut more once I shoot it if necessary.
Seem to feed and extract well with dummy rounds and live ammo. Typically with my 22lr conversions guns a fired shot is more reliable then hand cycling after the 1st round.
I got some very minor scratches to the bullet heads but the damage is equal to if not less than my current Nelson and GSG mags.
I will be able to tune even better once I break them in no point on changing anything until I shoot a few 100 rounds. Once tuned I suspect they will be very accurate and reliable.
Optimistic.
