Scope rib fit question
I have a Clark full-length, plain, Weaver rib on my wadgun and I'm questioning the fit of it in one respect: while the rib sits flush at the muzzle end of the slide and the ejection port cut-out of the rib is flush with the front of the pistol's ejection port, it overhangs the rear of the port by 1/16"-3/32". The gun itself started out as a Colt Combat Government and the ejection port is factory standard. It would make cleaning the breachface a lot easier if the fit were flush at the rear end of the port and I'd like to have the rib relieved there. Is there some reason not to do this that I'm overlooking?

They all typically have that overhang. You can remove it and it will not have any problems.
