Green dot vs red dot?

Anyone using a green dot on there bullseye guns. Is it easier to pick up a green dot?

I am talking about red dot scopes vs red dot sights

I have a reflex dot sight on my air pistol which has both red and green multiple dot size settings. I've experimented and always prefer red in normal indoor lighting conditions.

Tried green, sticking with red.

The eye is more sensitive to green light. A green laser is(was?) more expensive, hence the prevalence of red. Ultimately, it's 'De gustibus non testutantum est.'

I started a thread here some time ago and actually bought a green dot in the name of science. To my surprise, it was somewhat more difficult to acquire the dot after the recoil, especially outdoor in the full Arizona sun. So I'm back to the red dot, and ultimately, it's "Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem".

Yes....I looked it up in my handy Latin reference handbook, which I keep next to my Sanskrit handbook. never know when something like this may come up!

Love the Latin, but not many folks around who took Latin in high school let alone college. At any rate, I use both red and green fiber optic sights.  I tend to like the green for indoor use and red for outdoor shooting.  However, all of my "red dot" sights are red.  Try to borrow/use a buddy's gun if you can to help decide which to use.  With fiber optic sights, it's pretty easy to switch from a red to a green fiber.  I have spare fibers for all of mine just in case I want to switch.
