.32 ACP in Hammerli 280

I've been hearing so much about the 32 ACP I was wondering if I can shot them in my 280. I tried some rounds in the magazine and they fit fine. I also manually worked a full mag in the slide and it cycled fine. However, I don't want to damage the pistol by trying to fire them. Do you think there is a problem in firing them? Do you think the barrel can be sleeved to change the 32 S&W Long into a 32 ACP?

I believe that trying to shoot .32 acp thru a.32 S&W long barrel would be unproductive on many levels (head spacing may be an issue).
Spending the coin to re-barrel the gun MAY work

Yeah head spacing is important, in most rounds. You do not want to blow up that barrel.
