Benelli MP95E vs Atlanta model
I own a Benelli MP95E 22 lr. I purchased it new in 1995. I am thinking of selling it and while doing research on it's value I came across several ads for this firearm but they state they are the Atlanta model. They even have Atlanta stamped on the frame and are 6 shot, whereas mine came with 2 - 9 shot magazines. Does anyone know what the differences are? I cannot seem to find any answers.
Thanks

At some point I wanted to purchase a Benelli MP. From my research 95 = Atlanta. Same way 90 = World Cup.

But my 95 does not have Atlanta stamped on the frame and different magazine sizes so I am wonder what are the difference if any and is one more valuable than the other?

From what I know the only real change in the production of these pistols was an absence of rail in the latest year models. Else just a naming convention I would guess. From what I gather they may have had different importers over the years, not sure how that would affect the name though.

To add - there were silver colored variants that did not add any features and hold same market value.

Thanks for the replies, what would you think would be a fair price to sell it?

Re: Benelli MP95E vs Atlanta model
They usually say Atlanta on the side of the trigger module, molded-in. Maybe the early models had it embossed into the frame. 6-round vs 9-round was often the decision of the dealer. They're interchangeable.
Price can vary. What's the importer, Benelli itself, EAA, Larry's, etc? What grip is on it? What's the condition? Do you include spares, especially a firing pin? Prices are moving all over, but you'll see these between $800-$1200 over the past year or so. Parts are an issue in the US, so that adds price pressure.

Importer is EAA-Cocoa-FL. it is in excellent condition. I believe I have the spare spring and firing pin. I have the original box, spare magazine, manual and receipt. The grip is the original from the factory.
