benelli MP95e
wondering if anyone that may have the benelli MP95e, and knows how to take out the extractor.?
I have a new extractor on order from Larry's. I am getting FTE and the extractor does look a bit worn.
brief history, I have had the gun for about 3 years, no issues, occasional alibi, or jam but no big issues. last week I broke a firing pin, got a new one. installed it, changed the buffer while apart, thorough cleaning and now FTE with SV aguilla, which is the ammo its been shooting fine with.
any thoughts or suggestions beyond a new extractor, and again looking see how it comes out, don't see a pin holding it in.

I am not that familiar with the benelli but take a look at the ejector while you are at it.

1) Check the Chamber make sure its clean, mine had leaded which was about 50% of the problem.
2) Extractor likely to be OK, I don't think it does much on that gun if it works on a snap cap its ok.
3) New Buffer could be the culprit, mine did not like the Larrys buffer, the make your own buffer from the instructions on this site is likely to be ok. The Buffer seems to be critical. If you still have the old buffer and its not cracked give it a try and see if the problem goes away. A third solution is to pony up and get a factory buffer. A fourth solution is to really pony up and get a 4th generation bolt Larry (the guy selling you the $300 part) swears that it solves most of the problems for what that is worth.
4) Mags may need adjustment , but if it shot fine then I would not touch unless the problems are from one or magazines. Good news is with that gun you can check the mags and see if the round is nosing.
5) I found the ejection port on the larry mount to be a little tight if your ejection is throwing the bullets vertical. I had few problems with iron sights but it took me months to get the pistol the shoot again. If its a 2nd generation barrel you can mount the rings to the barrel I think it takes 11mm. I have also seen folks drill and tap the barrel for scope rings which seems radical but its a better solution than a nose heavy mount on an already heavy pistol.
I traded mine for a 41 after I got it to shoot again and regret the trade. I liked mine better than a Pardini, but I don't think the Pardini I tried was well cared for.

Re: benelli MP95e
update: new extractor, pin and spring from Larry's. got it in last night and gun is working with no issues, with both CCI and Aguilla SV 40 gr RN.
new vs old extractor, old did look a bit worn, but not rounded off or a large difference, looking at the new installed it almost looks like when my firing pin broke, maybe it pushed out the extractor a bit, or nicked it.??
thanks all for the responses and dave for the info on how it comes out.

Having a couple extra firing pins is a good idea if you plan to shoot a lot and Larry's FP's aren't that expensive and you will most likely be breaking more firing pins in the future.
Hold on to your old extractor, it may only need a little file work to get it to work better.
Having been shooting a MP90 since 1999, Aquilla SV is the only ammo my pistol doesn't like.
