I shot a really early one, it had some function issues. I liked the idea but it needed some refinement in the function department.

I have two of them, both 4.25” barrels. Both have been great for Steel Challenge. After I put EGW trigger groups in them, replacing all the
MIM parts, they even have appropriate to their type trigger feel.
Both have been 100% reliable, with all ammo being split between CCI Blazer 115gr FMJ, and my handload of SNS 147gr. FlatPoint coated lead propelled by BlueDot.
I use Leupold DeltaPoint Pros on both. The only problem that I have is the lack of red dot mounting plates. Springfield made the decision to supply only the plate that supported their in-house red dot. All other plates took months to obtain. Scam Alert should have been placed on that particular policy.
The guns have provided normal service-type groups from their bull barrels. Good enough for Steel Challenge or self-Defense. Other than the obvious gouge regarding the optic plate monopoly, I have no complaints about the guns reliability or performance for the price. The MIM stuff worked fine, the triggers were not a quality feel, so money spent that a less picky person would have spent elsewhere.

After I replaced the firing pin with a steel one, mine has been perfect.
