Looking for a Jon Shue Video.
Last year, someone posted a video of Jon Shue shooting a timed fire target.
It was posted in an ongoing thread, and I would like to view that video again if anyone might know where it is, and would be kind enough to post a link.
Thank You!

Thank you!
It is different video that I am looking for though.
The one I am looking for is him shooting timed fire, and he uses every second available, and he shows the target at the end.

Somewhere there is an excellent eyecam video of a military shooter doing rapid fire.
Trying to find it

So this is fairly obvious, but using all 20 seconds is great for Timed Fire, but you have to remember that Rapid is half the time. I know of more than one occasion in which powerhouse shooters only had 9 scoreable shoots in Rapid. Know what time you have to take your shots and make the best of it.DA/SA wrote:

Note the shooter to Shoe's left running out of time...chiz1180 wrote: Know what time you have to take your shots and make the best of it.
Watching the two videos (TF and RF) posted in this thread while you're not at the range can help with developing that sense of timing.
My RF timing is good, but I'm shooting TF in 15-16 seconds and trying to relax and slow down just a bit.

Not sure who the other shooter is, but it is a good chance comparing to Shue is not really a fair comparison. Pretty sure he averaged around 2650 between Cardinal, Canton, Perry and Atterbury.DA/SA wrote:Note the shooter to Shoe's left running out of time...chiz1180 wrote: Know what time you have to take your shots and make the best of it.

If I may suggest an approach, treat TF like RF that way you only need to train for sustained fire, not timed and rapid individually. As an example to why, here is a recent example from my own shooting. Here are two RF target from a league last week.
Initially both look pretty good, however I slowed down my pace on the second target trying to dress up all the shots and I only got 9 shots off.
Both the approach I outline above and training both Time and Rapid paces are valid. In my case I have found it simpler to just address sustained fire as the same thing, that way even if I do confuse rapid and timed fire, I still will be able to get 10 good shots off and I never feel rushed.

I appreciate the input!
I find that my best/easiest opportunity to clean targets is in TF, so why not use the time available to do just that?
I mainly train RF, but just slow the pace down enough in TF to execute well placed shots at a comfortable cadence.

I’ll play a bit of devils advocate, Why not use that time to be sure your pace is such that you can clean rapid?DA/SA wrote:I appreciate the input!

Here is what AMU has to say on the subject of sustained fire. Notice that they are talking about sustained fire and are applying this concept (or "system" as they call it) to both timed and rapid fire. AMU advocates shooting both at the same pace. Featuring Adam Sokolowski:
