Did you get the firing pin out? Here's how if not.
1. Take the slide off and remove the barrel and guide rod.
2. Put the slide in a vise with the back of the slide angled up so you're looking at the firing pin.
3. Use a punch and push the firing pin forward so it's clear of the manual safety cylinder. Now with your left hand rotate the safety downward while putting some sideways pressure on the right side of the safety cylinder. Right to left. When you feel the safety start to move right to left stop rotating it. At that point you can remove the punch and the firing will be riding on cylinder and you can push the safety out to the left. Catch the firing pin and spring and don't lose the plunger and spring on the right side of the slide that holds the safety in place.
This part takes some dexterity or a helper.

For the slide see this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUV8SL_RjFo - not exactly Model 52 but similar.
