Model 41 firing pin spring
The Wolf spring kit for the M41 comes with three firing pin springs, all the same. Is that because the firing pin spring should be replaced three times as often as the recoil spring?

Re: Model 41 firing pin spring
Hi Folks,
Well now, due to my experience I may be the leading authority on Model 41 firing pin springs. Certainly, I can provide a satisfactory answer to my own question.
The firing pin barely protruded from the hammer side of the bolt of my slide. Upon replacing the spring it now sticks out nearly an eighth of an inch. When I felt the pin with my fingertip prior to spring replacement, it offered almost no resistance. Now it feels "alive."
Therefore, the answer is: when the pin begins to sag into the bolt, replace the spring.
Take care, Tom
