38cal HBWC bullets manufacturers?
First topic message reminder :
Well, yesterday I loaded my last 38 bullet. I used to buy Zero and Magnus bullets from Powder Valley and Midsouth, but they both are OOS. Found some Hornadys but they are a bit too pricey for me. Can anyone recommend any other good source and/or other good HBWC manufacturer?
Thanks a lot!

Yes, I met Dennis thru Vicky. She bought the dept. brass from me..When I first took over that position, there was approx. 10 tons of 9mm brass on hand.. the market was flooded with 9mm.. No one would buy it. During my search I came across Vicky's business. Southern Belle Brass.. Called her and she bought every case.. Sent a tractor trailer to pick it up. When we transitioned to the 357 Sig.. Every body wanted it. Had buyers were burning up the phone, but I only sold to Vicky. 14 years until I retired.
Great folks..
Jerry

I now shoot BDX Bullets, made in Canada. For those in the northern states, don't hesitate to buy them if you visit the Great White North. Kurt Thomas, the owner, used to be a HM PPC competitor and he really cares about this bullet.
They are fat little buggers, at .360. They are swaged with very soft lead. They have tiny diamonds on their surface which holds a tiny amount of lube. I can shoot hundreds of them without cleaning my mod 14. They have fantastic accuracy for me at 25 yards (never tried 50).

Shot this during a practice yesterday, 50 yards slow fire, offhand, 10 shots, from my S&W 52-2. 2.7gr BE, Precision Delta 148gr HBWC, just a tad of roll crimp. The bullet feels a bit harder than Zero or Magnus, maybe that's why it shoots better. I'm sure if I used sandbag, it all would make an X ring.
Of course, I'm nowhere near Master or even Expert, never shot more than 94 in slow fire (and usually it's 90-92).
I wish I could consistently repeat this in a match...

Care to supply a link? I can't find anything other than jacketed bullets. Sure looks like a Hornady....desben wrote:I now shoot BDX Bullets, made in Canada. No, these two are from the hardball gun I was shooting before It was a practice, not a match, so I did not change the targetjames r chapman wrote:12 shots? 9mm crossfires?

re: BDX bullets. They are a little bad at maintaining their websites... Find some info at
http://www3.telus.net/public/kathomas/leadprice.html and www.canadianbdx.com. Emailing Kurt is probably the best (kathomas@telus.net). I ordered 2k a few months back and paid CAD$80/1k ($60 USD) + shipping.
