Shooting Stand Whatchamacallit?
I was at some practice sessions last year at a range and they had a contraption there made of a 4x4 post and a small platform on it to rest your arm on. It allowed for a steady hold on the target --eliminating wobble-- for sighting in, etc, while standing. I cannot remember what this shooting stand(?) was called.
Can someone tell me? Thanks.

Probably just referred as a steady rest...but why be concerned with it's name. Like most cats it won't come when called.

I have seen some real innovative ones made for us old people that have lost a lot of arm strength it is a way to keep on shooting rather then give up. Your score is not official but then are we not just shooting against our selves most of the time. I been told by Ted that at our shoots they don't even care if I want to shoot two handed but I don't. These devices are also used by youth that can't learn shooting as the pistol is to heavy. IMHO it is nice that the range where the OP shot at would furnish such a thing. Sighting in can be tough when you can't hold steady enough to get a good enough group to adjust the sights and using a rest often puts your group in a different POI. Maybe it can be called a Shooting Post. Don
