1911 Scope Rail
I am close to selling my version of a New Bomar screw pattern 1911 slide mounted rail. It has lightened cuts on the bottom of the rail to shed some weight. High Speed Low Drag! It will have black anodized finish. Photo is of my prototype. If you are interested in purchasing I will be taking pre-orders. $45 plus $7.20 shipping.

Re: 1911 Scope Rail
Would you be able to drill and tap a 1911 slide for this? If so, what's you price and turnaround time? Thanks!

Jon,
How much do you think the final product will weigh? I was thinking of using one of the Marvel's on my Clark .38 but it weighed too much with the dot.

Curious, are the slots deep and wide enough for the Kodiak mount? Some other similar parts are not, requiring a trip to KC to fix.

Re: 1911 Scope Rail
Yes the Kodiak mount will work with the mount.
Also standard UD rings.

Jon,
Looks nice. When you have a minute can take a couple more pictures ? maybe a side view from the ejection side, end view from the muzzle end and one from the under side?
Thanks

Sounds like these may need to make their way onto the 38 & 45 you're building me

Re: 1911 Scope Rail
I have a Clark rail on my 45. Would the screw holes on this match the pattern of those? I would be interested in swapping to different rail.

Re: 1911 Scope Rail
Hi Jon, will the hole pattern fit the Rock River Arms BULLSEYE WADCUTTER WITH RRA BULLSEYE RIB? The rib on it now is all steel and is very heavy with an UltraDot.

Re: 1911 Scope Rail
Jon, how soon will these be available? Assuming these parts are "standard", so there's no machining, I'd like to buy one or two. Are the notches all deep enough, and wide enough, for the Aimpoint Micro sights?
I am NOT a machinist. I can work on things, but when it comes to drilling and tapping steel, I don't have the skill, training, or tools. If you have one available now, and if these are standard patterns, so it will fit my guns, I'll mail you a check tonight.

Re: 1911 Scope Rail
Mike these should be a direct replacement for your current scope rails if the front screw is 1 inch from the front of the rail. So you do not have to do any machining, just remove the old one and put the new ones on. These will except the micro and Kodiak in point bases. They are being fabricated this week so I expect to have anodized amounts in the next 30 days. I will put you down for two of them.

Re: 1911 Scope Rail
Yes it says Eulette Precision on top of the rail. You can see it in the photo above.
