The main thing to me is a quality holster. If it’s comfortable and sturdy you’ll be more inclined to wear it. Buddy of mine back in Virginia has a small business making holsters, he makes great stuff.

Gunny Zins told a story about another well known Bullseye shooter who stopped carrying because he knew that the moment the target was acquired, the trigger was already moving.

I don't feel the need to carry here in Vermont even though we can conceal-carry without a permit.  I am prepared to defend my home.

Ruger LCR .38 with Crimsontrace grips.  Ultimate point and click interface.  Highly concealable. If I need more than 5 shots, I did something very wrong.

On the rare occasion that I might carry, it will be a revolver.

I always have my Kahr 380 in my pocket. If the need arises, some of my work is in bad areas or at night, I will carry in addition my Sig P365 inside waist holster. Always have G21 45 caliber in my truck in addition to a large can of bear spray. I was a boy scout way back when. Old habits.

Most often S&W M&P 45C with CT green trigger guard laser and 10 round mag with x ring grip sleeve for longer grip surface.  

For formal dress events a S&W 638 with CT grip laser.

If I do it's a S&W 640 with +P

Yes it’s a Taurus, yes it’s a POS.  Why?  Because if you ever ARE involved in a shooting, the police will seize your pistol and it won’t be released until the civil lawsuit is over which will take years.  I’d cry if they took my CZ.

Don't draw it unless you are sure you are going to use it. Hesitation may very well get you killed.
I will clarify, "he knew that the moment the target was acquired, the trigger was already moving." This is exactly how you want to go down IF you decide to use deadly force.
If there is any doubt, keep it holstered. Remember, even if it's a righteous shoot, you will still go through Hell.

My "church gun" is a Wilkinson Arms Sherry - 22LR 
Yeah I know, but it holds 8 rounds and is very concealable.

S&W 640, 357 Magnum.

Glock 42 or 43 depending on what I am wearing.....  380 or 9mm.
