Any one trying coated bullets in .38 special, specifically in auto-loading pistols? If so, what is your load and the pistol used?

I have a Colt National Match and a Clark long slide that prefer factory ammo to my reloads with cast bullets. I am curious as to whether the coating helps.

Probably still depends on the processing after casting. I do know that plated don’t work very well, but I have not tried coatings in my 52.
Like you, I’ve found cast WC to be lacking in my 52. But they’re good enough for practice. For match shooting, I’ll either shoot factory if I can get it, or my loads using HBWC.

I have tried several different coated double ended wadcutter bullets in my M52. None grouped as well as Zero HBWC.
